@ksacha77 people can vote on the city they want at the LingQ page at Facebook. We have not given any thought to sign language yet.
Have you thought of offering American Sign Language at Lingq? I know the technology would be a bit different, but there aren’t a lot of good resources for learning it independently and it might suit Lingq’s teaching style.
Prostějov!! My city…
btw: You´re Czech is good
“To je jedno…” haha very good
@Torbyrne You are lucky to be in the country studying the language.:)
@lingosteve I am studying Polish in-country at the moment. As you said, I have the feeling that it is going much faster after having studied other Slavic languages.
@Torbyrne i guess, it’s much simple for him to do the Czech becouse he was learnig the russian before.
@Torbyrne Thanks and it is going great. What languages are you learning now?
Great to see that you are learning Czech and that enjoying it so much too. All the best for your studies.
@Luciek69 Lucie, please join the LingQ community both for your German learning, and to find German speakers, and so that you can provide Czech content to our library. I look forward to talking to you in Czech in a month or two.
@lingosteve
Hi, I like your way of learning languages. Do you use any memo techniques at all?
If you need any Czech content to be read let me know.
I am Czech myself. Now learning German and finding it a little difficult because I am not in contact with any German folks.
Good luck with yout Czech.
Lucie
Hi Steve, thanks for your neverending positivity – you get the same twinkle in your eye when talking about language learning that people always tell me I get, and I’m always motivated to redouble my efforts after watching one of your videos. If only there were more hours in the day! Regards -David
are you going to study arabic too ?
hehehe, i’m so happy that you ad up arabic on lingQ
@epsilon910 The motivation is flagging right now. I am keener on Czech.
@lingosteve I think it’s easier to deal with closer grammar than closer vocabulary. “Strange” words really stand out to me in related languages.
Man thanks for adding beta languages! I have been using the English slot to learn Polish so thanks for making it easier! Take care and good luck with your Czech!
@Imyirtseshem Some Slavic languages are close to each other, but some of them are very different.
@Imyirtseshem
the structure of Czech is very similar to Russian, the vocabulary surprisingly different in many cases.
Sorry, I know you said Russian helps, but I was wanting to how close the grammar and vocab really are from your early impression.
It’s good you’ve made progress with Czech.
Is your level in Russian is helping a lot? Supposedly the Slavic languages are fairly close to each other. I know that from one Germanic language to the next, it’s really helpful. There’s a period of confusion mixed with familiarity, and the moment of confusion seem to recede with more exposure.
Hi Steve
I was really waiting for Arabic, thank you for adding it on the website. I wanted to tell you that if you want to add Slovak language sometimes in the future, I will be happy to help. I live in Slovakia, but I study on american university. I like ling-q and it would be pleasure for me to participate on this website. This is my contact: Epavlusik@gmail.com
Respond to this video… The motivation is flagging right now. I am keener on Czech.
@TenTonnesOfDynamite I will get back to them soon. Thanks.
Brilliant to see Dutch on Lingq. Think it’s time I subscribed!
I can finally start learning Arabic, do you know if the stuff is MSA or dialect? I’ll probably check.
What happened to Korean?
